The key to IDC Engineering's prosperity is firmly rooted in client satisfaction. As client satisfaction is directly related to the professional and reliable completion of engineering projects, the focus on quality is critical. For the consultant, growth comes from repeat business, and referral from satisfied clients. Therefore, quality control is fundamental to the prosperity of IDC.

IDC utilizes quality control procedures to assure the consistency of its results. Critical to the timely, accurate, and professional completion of projects, its procedures are multi-layered, and implemented at various stages of the process. Perhaps of ultimate importance: the process and its components are fluid, able to change and evolve quickly as situations and circumstances warrant.

Design projects, for example, involve a programmed interview process with the client to assure the client’s input into the products selected for use in the project. Once the project design is complete, an extensive checklist is utilized to assure the necessary elements are included in the bid documents. Finally, a standard outline for the Pre-bid meeting is utilized to assure contractor understanding and proper interpretation of the design drawings. All materials associated with the quality control process is archived for future reference.

Likewise, Power Quality analyses projects have a Quality Control Procedure associated with them to assure competency and consistency. A checklist is employed for Power Quality investigations that help the field personnel quickly identify potential problems and focus on solutions quickly.

Field Forms are used during Single Line Development for data collection of information on electrical equipment. This helps prevent return site visits and missing information, and inadequate product results.
